WEBSITES

Beautiful Doesn't Have to Break the Bank

Many small businesses and non-profits let their websites go without updates for years because they fear the cost of a redesign would be prohibitive. Thankfully, those fears are not a reality anymore. For a fraction of what it used to cost to build a site, an organization like St. Michaels can a get a state-of-the-art, responsive, optimized site.

And a better site, means a better a way to tell your story.

Saint Michael's of the Valley

New Website

Solution

Like many non-profits and small businesses, St. Michael's knew their website was out of date, but didn't want the hassle and expense of a major website overhaul, revisions, and then the headache of having to learn an entirely new CMS (Content Management System).

For an incredibly modest price, we were able to create a brand new site, with updated SEO, a clean look, a simple interface for updates and a modern responsive design. In this case, Squarespace was the perfect solution for all of these needs. The result is a much crisper look, and a better platform for the organization to share its message and mission.

Old Website

The old website, pictured here, held all the information the organization needed, but it wasn't optimized for the modern web, today's search engines, or mobile devices. It also just felt dated, so a facelift was certainly due.

Writing On The Floor

Writing on the floor is a podcast I produce and host, profiling interesting people who are doing interesting work.

Being a side passion project, I took it upon myself to do everything, including building the website. In this case I chose the very popular open-source platform Wordpress.
